General Conference

General Conference is always a special time on the mission and it's something that I always look forward to. There was a lot to talk about in this conference, and I took many notes. Some of my absolute favorite talks were:
Elder Karl D. Hirst: ‘Rejoice and Be Filled With Love’
Elder Dale G. Renlund: 'This Is My Gospel - This Is My Church'
Elder Patrick Kearon: ‘Welcome to the Church of Joy’
Elder David L. Buckner: ‘Ye Are My Friends’
Elder Ulisses Soares: 'Aligning Our Will With His'
Elder Gerrit W. Gong: 'Holiness to the Lord in Everyday Life'
Elder Brook P. Hales: 'Mortality Works!'
I really loved all of the talks! I also loved that question from Dieter F. Uchtdorf! It's a very potent and applicable series of questions. I loved especially Elder Kearon's talk. Making the Sabbath not just a day of rest, but a day of Worship and of joy. He provided some great perspectives and insights into what we should make the Sabbath day.
Nathan and Elder Rees also attended the Powder Springs Zone Conference and he shared the history of the church in the area. The oldest organized congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Georgia. It even underwent a fire and was rebuilt and then eventually remodeled to be larger.
