Hurricane Debby

Hurricane Debby warnings happened this week and brought some rain but Nathan and his mission are safe. There are mosquitoes out and about. They found this old abandoned home with a tree growing out of what was once the swimming pool as they spent a bunch of time trying to find new investigators. He said they like to share 3rd Nephi Chapter 11 with new investigators to show how Christ is involved in the Book of Mormon. One of his other favorite scriptures is Alma 7:11-12

"And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.

And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people: and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities."

They returned to the "knock 3 times" house of Joseph and Ann Taylor where they were invited to a filet mignon dinner. Definite highlight of the week. Ann is not a member so they are teaching her.

Nathan also mowed someone's lawn as an act of service. He always enjoys the change of pace despite the humid weather. Nathan will be transferred this week so will let you know where he is headed next.
