Stake Conference and Hurricane Helene

Stake Conference and Hurricane Helene

9/30/24

Nathan and his companion drove to Powder Springs for Stake Conference with President Yondez. They had a wonderful meeting. They returned Monday to have dinner with the Stake President and his family. He has 1o kids and they played kick the ball after the dinner. Nathan had a great time.

Nathan said he and Elder Rees are fine after Hurrican Helene. They had some clean up of fallen trees and luckily that was the worst of it. The military sites were preserved. Other missions closer to the coast had to be moved to the Mission Home for a couple days.

Nathan met with another investigator named Brandon and said the teaching is going well. Nathan also lives near a train station and I love to hear the whistle of the trains while we talk on FaceTime. Nathan has Mission training this week along with a Zone Counsel meeting. He is looking extremely forward to General Conference this weekend and hearing the talks as well as counsel from our Prophet.

On a side note, his Aunt Lisa planted this Georgia Peach rose in July and is blooming now. I love these little reminders of our missionary! Thank you for your support.
